The All-on-4 concept allows for the complete restoration of a toothless or severely damaged jaw using just four strategically placed implants. A fixed full denture is anchored onto these four implants: stable, natural-looking, and long-lasting.
Compared to conventional removable dentures, All-on-4 offers significant advantages: the restoration is fixed in place and feels like natural teeth. Chewing, speaking, and laughing are all unrestricted. In many cases, extensive bone grafting is not needed, as the implants are placed at an angle to make optimal use of the existing bone structure.
Peri-Implantitis: When the Implant Becomes Inflamed
Peri-implantitis is an inflammatory condition of the tissue around a dental implant, similar to periodontitis in natural teeth. Without treatment, it can damage the bone and in the worst case lead to implant loss. However, when caught early, it can be treated effectively.
Depending on severity, treatment ranges from a thorough professional cleaning to antibiotic therapy or a minor surgical procedure. At every check-up, we assess the condition of your implant and will proactively reach out if we notice anything unusual.

Aftercare: Keeping Your Implant Stable Long-Term
After treatment is complete, you'll have a tooth that looks, feels, and functions just like a natural one. Chewing, speaking, and laughing are all fully unrestricted. With proper care, implants can last for many decades.
In the first few days after implant placement, we recommend soft foods and gentle brushing around the wound area. Mild swelling and pressure sensations are normal and typically resolve quickly. For long-term care, treat your implant like your natural teeth: brush twice daily, use floss or interdental brushes, and schedule regular check-ups at our practice in Germering.
